It was a busy month for Bulldog Builders, all of which led up to our spring break mission trip to Timber Creek Camp in Pulaski, MS.

 

The entire team enjoyed our time in Mississippi. We left on Saturday, March 11th at 7:30 a.m. and arrived at Getwell Road UMC around 9:00 p.m. We worshipped on Sunday morning with our Getwell Road family and then headed off to The Pyramid, Bass Pro Shop in downtown Memphis. This is where Tom and Judy caught up with us. We arrived at Timber Creek Camp about 5:00 p.m. and our chaperones made us spaghetti. It was a good change from fast food!

 

We had our commissioning service at 8:00 p.m. to prepare us for the week.

 

Some of our projects included:

• cleaning Tin Top (the barn where “stuff” is stored)

• removing trees and other fallen limbs

• cleaning canoes

• moving the canoes to lakeside

• moving the life jackets to lakeside

• cleaning air filters for the air conditioners in the cabins

• cleaning ceiling fans and lights on cabin porches

• making sure all cabins were clean

• replaced shower curtains

• making signs for the trails

• painting fences around LP tanks

• painting doors

• building a couple decks

• staining the deck,s gaga pit

• cleaning the snack shop

• cleaning the flower beds

• moving wood

• power washing the porches and ramps

• cutting down a couple trees

 

We had a great week as we worked and worshipped together. Praise the Lord for all we accomplished. God really grew in all of us this week, both individually and as a group. We truly appreciate all the prayers and support we’ve received.

 

Whether you gave money or time in prayer (or both), you were an encouragement to us and you were part of our ministry at this camp!
